This paper intends to demonstrate that it is possible to classify Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) services using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), in particular its components activities, participation and environmental factors. Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) technology aims to enhance the lives of elderly and dependent people by offering them the ability to carry out routine tasks independently. Contributions of ambient assisted living for health and quality of life in the elderly and care services - a qualitative analysis from the experts’ perspective of care service professionals. Active Assisted Living (AAL) technologies can intervene to help elderly people in the different stages of aging. Indeed, AAL is intended to develop innovation in order to keep people. The aim of this paper is to review the use of Ambient or Active Assisted Living for older adults with physical, cognitive impairments, and their so-cial participation. This book provides a comprehensive review of technological advancements in ambient assisted living technologies in Healthcare 4.0 as well as in forthcoming Healthcare 5.0. An ambient assist-ed living approach in designing domiciliary services combined with innovative technologies for patients with Alzheimer’s disease: a case study.
